My one year old generally has a very well-balanced diet. I am very lucky in that he was open to trying most foods and I haven’t found many things that he doesn’t like. My only concern was that he wasn’t getting enough Vitamin D and was worried that if he was deficient, then his growth and bone development might suffer. I knew that there are not very many good food sources of Vitamin D, although I tried to give him fortified yogurts as often as possible. I also knew that sunlight is a good source of Vitamin D, but I am very conscious of his fair, delicate skin, so always use a high factor sunblock or cover his skin to avoid it reddening or burning. I felt that I didn’t know what to do for the best. Then I searched online for Vitamin D drops for children UK and discovered Health Aid Babyvit-D Drops. They contain enough Vitamin D to meet his daily requirements, so I can stop worrying and they come in a convenient dropper bottle. It says they can be added to water or juice but he loves the orange flavor so I just drop them straight in to his mouth.
